Open Call #2

The second ELG open call for pilot projects was closed on 30 November 2020. In total, 103 project proposals were accepted for evaluation with applicants from 28 countries. All proposals were evaluated by three independent experts and by the ELG Pilot Board. The Pilot Board selected five projects amounting for a funding of EUR 584,396 in total.

The second open call was also the last one funded within the runtime of the ELG project. In both calls combined, we supported 15 projects from eight different countries amounting for almost 2 million EUR. These projects are executed by ten research organisations and five SMEs. There are eleven projects that focus on contributing resources, services, tools, or data sets to the European Language Grid platform to increase its coverage, whilst four projects are developing applications, using language resources and technologies available in the ELG platform.

Congratulations to all successful applicants and a big thank you for all submitted projects and all the effort dedicated to the second open call. All applicants will receive a brief feedback on their project proposal in the upcoming weeks.
